I am a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Data Science and Analytics Thrust and the Internet of Things Thrust, Information Hub, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). Prior to this, I worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University, USA. I obtained my PhD from the Department of Information Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. My research focuses on interdisciplinary areas of artificial intelligence, network systems, and network economics, with a current emphasis on trustworthy learning and efficient coordination in distributed environments. Research Interests:

• Artificial intelligence: machine unlearning, multi-agent coordination and game, federated learning.
• Network system: Internet of Things (IoT), sharing platform.
• Network economics: data trading, LLM mechanism design.

Requirements:

• Have a strong interest in research and good self-motivation;
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Information, Mathematics, Control, or related areas from a well-known university;
• Have solid skills in math or programming;
• Have good spoken and written English skills (an IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL score of 80 is required).

Compensation and Benefits:

• Provide full PhD scholarships of 180,000 RMB per year (including 40,000 RMB tuition per year, with a 4-year program duration);
• Offer a purely research-focused environment and systematic research training, respect students’ interests, and promote high-quality and efficient research and communication, including at least one weekly one-on-one discussion with students; strongly support students to publish academic papers as first authors in top journals and conferences and to attend international conferences;
• Support students who have completed their course requirements to participate in a one-semester exchange program at the HKUST Clear Water Bay campus; based on personal interests and the willingness of other supervisors, students can choose a senior professor at HKUST as a co-supervisor for joint guidance;
• PhD graduates from HKUST(GZ) will receive a degree certificate issued by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and are eligible to apply for the IANG employment visa in Hong Kong under the Hong Kong SAR Government’s talent admission scheme;
• Senior students can be recommended for exchange and collaboration opportunities at well-known universities or companies domestically and abroad.
